Breast cancer remains the most common form of cancer among women living in the United States. In Colorado 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
By donating to Komen Colorado, a 501(c)(3) charity, you contribute to serving women and men in our 22-county service area who are affected by breast cancer.
Seventy-five percent of funds raised locally are used to provide: breast health and cancer screening, diagnostics and treatment services for women and men who are uninsured or underinsured. What is the Susan G. Komen® difference?
Getting a diagnosis and treatment: Komen is the only organization providing uninsured women and men with access to navigation through our complex medical system, screening, diagnostics and treatment.
Researching the Causes and the Treatments: Besides the U.S. government, Komen is the largest funder of breast cancer research in the world. Every advance in breast cancer treatment has been touched by a Komen grant.
In Colorado: Komen Colorado is a local charity with its own board of directors. Funding decisions are made locally – to meet the local need.
Grassroots: Komen Colorado operates on a very lean budget with 9 staff and over 1,200 volunteers. Our cost of doing business is $0.25, compared to many other charities that spend 33 cents or more on each dollar for operations. Please consider a donation of whatever you can afford. Every dollar helps. No donation is too small.
